Staff Biographies / CORY AYER'S BIO

Cory Ayer

Cory Ayer worked in the Service Industry for over twenty years and received his Master’s Degree in International Business. Always pursuing the most out of life Cory became a Scuba Instructor and learned that working one on one with others was very rewarding. One of his students was a bilateral below knee amputee who wanted to learn how to scuba dive. The amputee was overjoyed to learn that it was possible and this ignited Cory’s interest in becoming more involved with amputees.

Starting as a technician Cory went back to school and became certified and licensed Prosthetist and Orthotic Assistant. Working in the field for ten years, he realized that many patients and family members had difficulty finding and traveling to a facility that could assist them. Cory was determined to

help those who could not make it there. So, Edge HomeCare Prosthetics & Orthotics was established with the motto   “Why come to us? We can visit you!”   Just like in the past when the doctor would come to your home and help you in your own environment, Edge HomeCare Prosthetics & Orthotics will do the same.

Cory stays on the cutting edge of technology by attending seminars and lectures. He is a board member of the Prosthetic & Orthotic Society of New Jersey, member of ABC, BOC, AOPA &AAOP.

In 2010, Cory assisted other practitioners in the relief effort for Haiti after the devastating earthquake. Cory’s heart truly lies where the patient comes first whether it is at home or in the office. Cory has touched many people’s herts by helping them get back to doing what they like, living life.
